With these portraits of women, inspired by a film that moved me a lot (death in Venice by Luchino Visconti in 1971, based on the novella by Thomas Mann), I would like to introduce a technique that I developed:

 

Layered pastel chalk, watercolor paint and a special mysterious mixture are applied to old hand-made wallpaper paper. A solid layer of paint is created.

 

The clear dotted structure created in this way gives the motif additional charm of its own.
